Depression Cure

By jannet at 2009-11-11 03:17:55
Human nature varies throughout the world. The perception and understanding of the situation by an individual depends upon diverse issues. Grasping and tackling these matters require intellect and prior experiences, but occasionally situation turn out to be beyond the controls and this leads to hopelessness, despair and anguish called depression. The condition if ignored becomes devastating. Depression is severe medical condition that engrosses the body, mood and thoughts. It can affect person’s outlook, routine activities, behavior and conduct. It can change the overall personality. Individual(s) with such illness cannot simply “put themselves together” and get better what we eat affects our emotions, mood and overall health. Depression has been linked with nutritional deficiencies. Depression is a biological illness and people cannot just snap out of it. Depression can be caused by multiple factors including: genetic, environmental, social and nutritional imbalance.

Symptoms:

-Low mood level or sadness.

-Lack of joy or interest in activities that were joyful before.

-Pessimism.

-Feel of guilt of something without any substantial reason to feel so.

-Inferiority thoughts.

-Irritability.

-Slowness in the thought process.

-Slowness in interpreting sensorial stimuli.

-Slowness of digestion or other internal physical processes, and symptoms caused by this slowness, for example inflated stomach, constipation or difficulties by urination.

-Slow physical reactions.

Treatment:

A balanced diet or vitamin and nutrient supplementation can help, too. For instance, amino acids have been used to treat some types of depression, and are showing promise in ongoing studies. For some people, a higher vitamin B ratio can help improve the mood. Regular exercise, a good diet, and a consistent sleep schedule have also been shown to be effective depression cures, since they can help balance chemicals in the brain which are responsible for happiness or unhappiness. Depression is treatable. First step is realization (find out patient’s concerns and also provide an appropriate explanation and reassurance) and physical examination to prevent the onset of other symptoms. Secondly, a differential diagnosis is important as depression is outcome of adverse circumstances in vulnerable persons. The imperative part is differentiation of an adjustment disorder with depressed mood from depressive disorder. Adjustment disorders are transient reactions to adversity. Whereas, depressive disorders are characterized by more severe and persistent mood disturbance.

Medication and short-term psychotherapies including “talking” therapies are effective for the treatment of depression. Severe and recurrent conditions of illness require a combination of treatment for best outcome. The treatment may have to be continued once a person starts feeling better. Depression has some correlation with the ageing; it could be implicated with the illness, loss of memory and forgetfulness, feeling lonely or may be other psychological reasons. The psychotherapy of the patients and creating positively in them help them to come out of depression and suicidal tendency. A well balanced healthy diet with regular exercise may be the best depression cure. See a nurtionist if you need help learning what to eat and how to balance the food groups. A balanced diet must include dairy products, protein, dairy products, fruits and vegetables, and fats. You should also eat three snacks a day to keep your energy up related to your blood sugar. This is the opposite of what we have been taught to 'Never eat between meals'.

Do not go out and try to find your depression cure on your own. Get help with your dietary needs. See a nutritionist and talk to your doctor. Learn good eating habits and regular exercise and continue them for the rest of your life. If you are still depressed after making some changes you should see a psychiatrist.
